- Pickup for less weight.
- Standard battery for less weight.
- Wrap for protecting plastic from UV. ('Best of the Zest')
- Lowered for sportier springs.
- 20's for sportier tires. (White)
- Center console for an inboard armrest. (white from doors)
- Rubber floor and/or mat for not-plastic floors.
- Bluetooth speaker for 'enough' sound.
- Steering wheel bluetooth for hands-free interface.
- Power windows for NOT awkward cranking the other side.
- Glasses holder for sun/reading glasses.

Nice. Would you DIY the lowering kit?

The reason that I ask (and the reason that I won't do my own lift kit) is I don't want to mess with alignment after the change. Even if you think you've done it perfectly, it is rarely properly aligned and you'll pay for it later in unusual tire wear. You can always take it to the shop to get it aligned, of course...and let them change your oil too?

Haven't thought about it. I guess it would partially depend on what the Slate service network ends up looking like.

I'm not talking about Bluetooth. The Slate dashboard speakers aren't Bluetooth, are they? Ideally I want to plug my phone into an aux cord wired directly to the speakers. Although I guess I can get a Bluetooth volume knob if it works.

I think we haven't seen a fraction of the accessories that will be available at launch. There will probably be multiple console options, multiple steering wheel and other button options, different phone mounts, a variety of storage options for in the dash, more tire/wheel options, behind the seat storage options, everything they have shown on the maker app with colors will probably have a whole rainbow of color options, etc.

Almost certainly they are.
Hence the Bluetooth steering wheel buttons.

the nissan leaf was notorious for losing range. I think manufacturers understand how to condition the battery to avoid this. I think the 20-80% being automatic is fine but then my 150 miles needs to be after the 20-80%.

If not, 20-80% is only 90 miles which is fine for me today and I would want to be able to exceed that when I have to.

I was reading that for the size of battery 150miles was a low range estimate, so it might make sense that the 150 number is with the 20-80 or a 10-90.
But they definitely wouldn't advertise 150 miles and then lock it out to only 90.

I wouldn't get my hopes up. The standard battery is 52.7 kWh. A Rivian R1T gets ~2.2-2.5 mi/kWh, and a Tesla Model X gets around 2.7-3.0 mi/kWh. If we're generous and say this thing will have an average efficiency of 3.0 mi/kWh, that gives us a maximum range of 158.1 miles.

Obviously this is operating on an assumption on the efficiency, but if anything, I'm being generous with it I believe. A VW ID.4 gets anywhere between 2.6 and 4 mi/kWh, and is less box-shaped than our beloved Slate Truck. The Mustang Mach-E seems to average around 2.7-3.1. We'll have to see.

Depends on what's offered in the accessories department and, of course, cost of installation. Based on my skill level, battery pack and wrap wold have to be out of the shop. I insist on 100 mile reliable range, after 7 years and at 0°F with heater full blast, so I will opt for the larger pack. (That could change as EV charging becomes more common.)
Gotta have; Fog lights, spare tire, tow package.
Nice to have; Front mounted winch, NEMA 5-15 off the main battery, not the 12 V. Roof rack.

My guess is this is spot on. I have been driving a 150 mile range Leaf for 3.5 years. It has no provision to charge to 80% or 90% like a Tesla. I charge it to 100%. When I first got it, 100% was 171 miles, 3.5 years later 100% is 165 miles. I think the 150 is going to be 150 miles usable similar to the Leaf.

Hard to calculate where the efficiency is. Most of those are more aerodynamic than the slate, but the slate may be lighter weight than some due to the smaller battery. The bigger the battery in the same vehicle the lower the efficiency because you have to haul around that battery.
