The whole idea that a Slate would be untowable with a dead battery ignores some things. Just because it can't be flat towed doesn't mean the powertrain is locked up with a dead battery. The rear wheels will roll, you just don't want to roll them fast or for an extended time like a tow. Most cars with an automatic transmission have had the same restriction for decades, the manual says to get a flatbed tow truck.
Even if it was locked up, the flatbed driver isn't going to have a problem dragging the vehicle a few feet onto the bed. I've seen them pick up cars that are in park/parking brake on/tires flat. Except for with flat tires, it's not going to significantly wear on the tires either.

There's _nothing_ that can't be towed.

Bro needs to check out some towing vids on the YouTubes.

Tow truck drivers around here use Dawn dish soap by the gallon. Squirt some under the tires and the slide right along.

My R1T gets towed on a flatbed, it's not really a big deal.
Yes. For Tesla, and I also believe for Rivian, there is a "tow mode" selection in the service menu. I had to use it when removing tires while on a lift to lockout auto-leveling on the air suspension.

EDIT- it is called "jack mode" when changing tires on a hoist. Tow mode is for pulling your vehicle onto a flatbed using the front eye hook.

Regarding Slate, I'm sure there will be some towing guidance in Slate University and the Slate app on your phone.
