I’ll always remember riding in my uncle’s 1956 F100. It was pretty much a basic short bed F100.
It didn’t even have a headliner. Actual dimensions were probably similar to a Slate.
We loved it and thought it was the way all pickups should be.

According to ChatGPT and Gemini (so consider the sources) it is legal in Texas for people 18 and older to ride in the open bed of a pickup. If that is correct, I assume you'll be addressing that subject with your son.

I'm also assuming you're in Texas.
they are all under 18, but you are right that might not stop them.

Shame the Slate's not wide enough in the middle for the '17-'25 F150 middle seat/console:

Standard for now. If the company survives, they can expand later.

There's a huge pent up demand for 1 or 2 person pick up. I could go on and on, but I'll leave it at that and say I'm totally fine with standard cab.

I WANT a single cab. I already have a crew cab F150, why do I need another? It's literally the only thing that would draw me to Ford's EV pickup is if they make it a single cab.

I’d like to see something like that for Slate. Fold down as a console, up when you need a seat. Might be a better option than bench. Personally not interested in a bench, but would love this.

I have this seat in my F150 and can agree it's very handy to have. I've taken 6 people in my truck a few times and all the other times it's nice to have a little storage and a good arm rest.

Neat, perhaps we can get dimensions from you. Not that we can do much without know Slate’s

I would be happy to oblige, however, I am away from my truck for at least the next 3 months so....
