He’ll yah I wonder how hard it would be to change out the window ether have the original cut for it or a after market set kit would be nice and I bet pretty easy to fab up

Oh man, I really miss those vent windows. I had those in a few vehicles, back in the day, and I really miss them, especially in my truck. Yes, if you can, bring 'em back!

Had them in my '87 Ranger STX. Unfortunately adds to the 10-part door cost...

I had them in my old GTI. Actually not operable…just a fixed glass triangle. No ventilation, but great for letting people break into my car in Boston. No thanks.

Nothing Fun
Not really sure there’s any value other than “nostalgia”. Any efficiency gain from not running the AC will likely be offset by the drag created. Not to mention it’s worse than AC, and an additional cost.

Beloved? My Toyota pu was broken into more than once via the crappy little wing vent windows. NO THANKS.
Shouldn't you be thankful? They could have busted your driver side window, I assume the little one is cheaper? Harder to duct tape a temporary fix on a larger opening....

 (sorry, criminals are bad)

There is great value as a pleasurable experience. Certain weather conditions it is wonderful. If you haven't had the pleasure, I'm sorry. Coming back from Lake Michigan beach, some sand still on your feet, the day cooling down. Good company in the passenger seat. Might even have to run the heat on low as the night comes on. Good tunes playing.

I'm expecting to have solar panels within a year or two of an EV. Basically free miles within range of home. Tires cost more per mile. Before solar panels it is about a nickel a mile. I'm not worrying much about efficiency and cost of AC at that point, Give me my fresh air!

I think the hacker dictionary says CAB stands for cheap azz bast***? There is likely a picture of me there. But I would strongly consider aftermarket vent windows under $300. Maybe more.
