Obviously, the dead flat wall that I put on the front of my trailer is going to have a more dramatic effect on consumption than something with a more sculpted aerodynamic shape, like a cargo trailer or a camper.
Obviously he hasn't looks at camper aerodynamics very closely... At least not the ones made for full-size truck towing. :CWL:

Aside from the clickbait thumbnail though, it's really a well-done, informative, and entertaining piece. :like:

Came here to post this video. It provides a great breakout of the strengths and weaknesses of EV truck use. They may not be for everyone, but for a lot of us they make great sense. The last test of 0-70-0 with load was fascinating- the truck with a load used less net energy than the unloaded truck. If you are on the fence about an EV, give it a watch.

My personal Towing experience.

Towing 3 tiers of scaffold with my MachE 100 miles on small open Uhaul trailer cost me $20, $5 for the electricity @12pennies/kw, $15 for the uHaul.

Same trip in my truck a Chevy w 351 v8 costs $28 in 8 gallons of no ethanol fuel not to mention the truck has no Air.

If we make the trip 200miles, Chevy truck cost me $56 in fuel and would do it non stop.

I would have to stop at about 105 miles to charge the MachE. Take on 45 to 50kw at a Tesla supercharger at 42 pennies a KW, $21 for $42 for the trip but the charge time would be 40 minutes before dropping and picking up the trailer is figured in as very few EV chargers are pull thru.

I would expect similar range from the Slate with it a big battery. However I could possibly get the scaffold into the bed of the slate and get the unladen range and only pay $2.50 per 100 miles.

I've towed my boat with my Ariya. I get about half my normal range while towing. This is similar, IME, to what happens to gas mileage in a non-EV (e.g. my old Honda Pilot) when towing. The biggest difference is that gas stations are everywhere, but fast chargers are still relatively rare once one gets away from major interstate routes.
