Financing? Upgrades later on?

Hello! I have just made my reservation a week ago or so. When the units are ready, will there be financing available?

Not knowing how much will the upgrades cost, I indicated that I just wanted the base model. When the time comes, will I be able to include the conversion kit at the time of purchase to include it in the financing?

As I understand it, the reservation is just for a blank Slate, no accessories etc. once that reservation is ready to convert to a purchase then you can tailor to your wants.

The Slate FAQ states they will have financing available for the truck and accessories at the time of purchase. No details known as of now.

For purchases: compare financing with your local bank and credit unions.

For leases: wait until Slate determines if they will do their own leasing or contract it out to a 3rd party leasor like Capital One, Chase, etc..

Should be interesting if the current $7500 tax credit might apply to either or both.....

Hmmm…doubtful. I think they would rather have people order their meal a la carte: order accessories upfront and add all the accessories into the final price, then finance the total. Their banking partner will tell them to do it this way.

its hard to say

it’s likely add ons could run in the $1,000s for most add ons (rear seats and topper kit) their finance company could see this as a great opportunity

it’s not likely someone will whip out their discover card to spend $5,000 @ 29% interest

one of the things they state is the ability to add on whenever, first, second, third owner

I'm weighing it... Extended battery or not. Without any information on the price difference, I can't decide just yet. I have made a resend indicated that I wanted the regular battery pack.

Since Amazon offers their lines of credit (Business Pay by Invoice), it would make sense they want to tap into the credit market.

My 2 Ford EV purchases were done with the help of Ford Rewards VISA that helped put points towards accessories.

I had accumulated over 100,000 points enough for a set of Ford/Thule cross bars, rear wing spoiler, and service charges.

With a $15K CL, it made it easy to charge it, pay, get the points.
Even had 3% EV charge credit benefit.
Now FNBO and Ford have cut ties and no longer being offered....
