My wife and I will be there tomorrow at 11:00. I'm curious as to which office the Slate employees there work out of, or are they just hired for one event. I really hope they bring the Brown one shown on the event page, as I love that chrome grill. If anyone is there at the same time say hi, I'll be the old fat fart with the gray goatee.

So, i'm not going to be able to attend the City of Dallas meeting with Slate.
I was able to set up a meeting with myself and another fleet manager and they are going to bring the truck to us for a demo next week.
So if anyone has any questions that they want answered let me know and I will try to ask. Most of My questions will be about repair/maintenance, technician training, warranty, emergency lighting and upfit provisions, delivery timeline, pricing, etc. that will affect my decision to add them to my fleet.
I'm trying to find out two things. In one interview Chris Barman said there would be a spot for a double-din radio. In another she said single-din. Which was correct?

Also, will the cargo suv option without the rear seat still require a rollbar? I hope not because it would be way cheaper.

I'll try and get answers tomorrow in Ft. Worth but I imagine they might be a little more forthcoming with fleet buyers.

Thank you.

If there is room for a double, they will 99% sure have both. It would just be a matter of a different piece of plastic. Single may have been mentioned because some people want single to have a retro style.

I like the bed cover also. After market sites have trifold covers for around $700. Slate is not listed yet, but Ford Ranger is. That would be a good place for the spare tire and tools, and I know it's not theft proof, but what is? At least it's not visible.

I was there yesterday around 1-3 and was the only one at the time so I was talking to 3 guys who answered a lot of questions.
They said everything is subject to change but is true as of now.

1 -Front seat will have airbag lockouts for car seats.
2 -No NACS bidirectional charging planned at this time, but they stressed that might change.
3 -Cargo kit will have the same topper as SUV but will have a safety partition.
4 -Back seats will be physically unable to be installed without the rollbar in place.
5 -Electrical "assess points" will be proprietary plugs.
6 -Start of production is planned for June, these early production cars will be heavily tested before retail production at end of the year.
7 -Production review units will be sent out to Media with an embargo lining up with start of sales.

I'm probably forgetting half of what we talked about, but those are the highlights.
