SLATE switching to LFP batteries.
Where have you been? That is old news that has never been verified. Slate has been asked directly and they refuse to confirm it, so until I hear it from Slate it’s just a rumor.

"You heard it here first!" 😂
I've never owned an EV so I don't know jack about batteries other than what I've read (which hasn't been much if I'm being honest). So...

Living somewhere the winters/cold can get pretty bad (NW Montana Rockies), I'm thinking NMC might be the better choice for me, both for the better range and better charging in cold weather. I rarely need to travel more than 50 miles though, even when you add up all of my errands on a busy day, and I will be charging from my 110 outlet in the shop. So I've been thinking NMC is better for my situation than LFP? Is cold-weather charging really that bad for LFP?

As someone who lives in the north, I am concerned if they switch to LFP for the shorter range pack... that will likely bump me to the long range version.

Fair but the lack of denial is the strongest confirmation.

I for one hope they use LFP batteries. Use them with my transceivers and the are great.
