Don’t forget to leave the frunk open while you’re doing that.

That’s what really gets the conversions going. Ask me how I know. 🙂
What happened when you exposed your frunk in public? Pics please!! 😁

If there will be a local meet for Slate trucks, I'd suggest any Home Depot in the early evening. Hell, if they wanna meet at Costco, I will go. Those crowds would probably be interested. Hold on, do I have to worry about Maverick or Bolt owners approaching me to start a debate? 😅 "You know, for $2K more, you can have ALL THIS!"

The local Bmw 2002 group used to meet in front of Harbor Freight on Sunday mornings. They probably still do but I haven't visited HF for a year or two.
Really doubt that would happen much in that situation, as very few of them would have gotten a base Maverick or Bolt, at a deal of a price, so they'd be looking at more like 18k more they spent.

I will definitely be taking mine to my car club meets from February-October! My EV6 still turns heads, 4 years into ownership!

Bringing the Slate to the classic car shows should be especially fun. Especially when you park next to muscle cars of the past, like the Olds 442s, Mustangs, and Camaros, etc. with their hoods open and everyone drooling over those massive V8 engines.

Can’t wait to open my frunk and show off what’s under the hood!

Lots. Just....lots.

"Or for a bit more I could have bought 2 Slates"
"Or I can take a sweet vacation"
"I used the money I saved to put a down payment on a house"
"Oh, I bought this and that Vega over there with the 355 in it for less than that"
" I plan to sell it and buy a new one every year"

Seriously, the replies to why I didn't light another $18k on fire practically writes itself.

Since the frunk has the drain plug, I'd use it as a massive cooler at meets or my local hangout. Drinks, sandwich supplies, chair and umbrella makes it feel like a beach day anywhere, lol.

Bring extra ice.
The frunk is located near the radiator.

You definitely understand the Costco crowd! Short shorts are superfluous at my second favorite store.

Just park right in front of the damned entrance while the nice dudes load a fridge and a big screen and 400 rolls of TP in the back while you put your groceries in the ice-filled frunk. Hand out cards and have QR stickers on the truck to scan. In my hood, half the darned parking lot is EV (other half is filled with pristine monster trucks/SUV’s).

…but daisy dukes would help with the confusion if you pulled into the contractor section vs garden section of my favorite store, Home Depot!
