Lately it seems no one goes to these events who posts here or on social media.
There was also a San Clemente California event today, and crickets.
Just looking at the map, looks like that city is the farthest south tip of Orange county, South of that and you've got wilderness and Camp Pendleton for 20 miles before you reach Oceanside and the San Diego area.
Seems like that 2 hour event at an outlet mall wouldn't be destined for a lot of traffic.
We went to the San Clemente event this morning. The Slate rep was knowledgeable and helpful. There were several people checking out the Slate, but this was a big event with many different exhibitors and collectors of all kinds of vehicles. Sorry I didn’t get more pics.

Thanks for sharing this. Looks like this prototype still has the small driver’s display. Thankfully production units will have the larger display installed. 👍
Yes, the rep told us it was a prototype.

That is one of the reasons I don't want to drive 3-4 hours round trip to "see" a prototype Slate. Less distance, sure, and maybe make a longer trip if it's going to be production accurate, and especially if I'd get to sit in it.

Looks like there might be room to the left of the steering wheel for a cell phone mount. That would be nice.

I wonder how many recessed storage cubbies you could put in the spots where those blank plastic pieces are on the dashboard.

Who is going to be able to fit the most cupholders into their Slate?

What did you make of the wheels? Were they wheel covers or the actual wheels? They look different than what you see in the maker.

Sorry, I must have missed this change.

What is the larger display?
Different prototypes seen have had different sized displays. Some actually look like it's just a phone screen in landscape. They are still running the same handful of prototypes at the events from the start.

That would be a great idea. Plus you could have the tablet mount in the center too. I was thinking tablet but then I have to cord my phone to charge it while driving. Dumb
