I’d like updates on
  1. Front bench seat announcement which they got the idea for from this forum.
  2. More details/specs on the battery pack. Gross/net/usable. Expected efficiency. 2.8 or 3.2 m/kWh
  3. Back of the cab glass(hinged or fixed)
But if they have been monitoring this forum at all then probably the most popular discrepancy to clear up is to whether mid-twenties means around $25k or $27,499.
seriously you think they can do it for $25k. I don't think so. In fact the Polaris Ranger Electric base price starts at $29,999 US MSRP. And that has no windshield, no doors, no heat, no A/C. Nothing!

Polaris target market is someone who has a $100,000 pickup, so they charge whatever they want. I think Slate is going to try to keep the price as low as possible to get their company going. Still, I doubt they will be under $30,000.

Actually their target market for these are farmers and ranchers. We don't drive 100,000 dollar pickups. Yes 100,000 dollar tractors.

With all the uncertainty around tariffs, interest rates, state incentives, etc, why would Slate box themselves in with a pricing announcement a year+ out? I bet they'll push that off until right before it's time for us to place orders.
Excellent point. The fact is, Slate is better insulated against tariffs on steel and aluminum as it uses about half of that content compared to most other vehicles, thanks to its composite body panels. The design decision to use composites was made long before tariffs was a thing, and it turned out to be huge.

All things considered, and given the current trend in tariffs impacting the market, I think we’ll be pleasantly surprised when Slate announces official pricing.

Since I am eyeing the Slate as a second vehicle (after Hyundai I5) and would also like to flat-tow it behind our motorhome. I would like more information on any work being done to make the Slate towable.
It’s being engineered for flat rowing. That’s the reason I’m in for the Slate. New jeeps are north of 50 tgousand. So I could get a new car for my wife and the Slate as the road,

Maybe it’s time for Slate to provide an official update, giving us fresh fodder? Actually, I’m hopeful that Slate adds an update section to their website that posts news regularly.
I agree. The "News & Media" section of the Slate.Auto website hasn't been updated since the launch date. I signed up for the latest Slate news via email and I think I got like two emails since April. So they'll just throw us a few crumbs every month to keep us interested. Probably just part of the master plan... slow reveal. Real slow.

That kind of thing they probably really wouldn't do at this time, the current prototypes are probably lacking most of the sound absorbing insulation they plan to have. Also, depending on the microphone setup and processing they do, so it's going to be really subjective and hard to tell anything. I'm not even thinking about something like that until a test drive.
Just an FYI Retro Radio offers sound adsorbing floor mats etc. also a good source if you want that 60s look with BT, MP3, AM/FM and Push Buttons!

I was more looking at the prototypes that are being shown and tested now may not have the built in sound absorbing materials to block road noise that the finished truck will have.

I'm curious if there are any updates on the Warsaw plant. I see tons of update posts on Linkedin about people getting hired. But my biggest question is will trucks actually be rolling off the line at the end of 2026?
