I find it strange how the slate events are not really covered anywhere, might get like two YouTube videos at best.

A lot of the California ones lately seem to not even get any youtube videos or anything. You would think people would go and take a video and post it just because it would get some guaranteed views.

There is another California event listed, this Saturday, this one in San Clemente, south end of orange county, practically halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego. Another short one, 2 hours.

Really making me think the person planning the western US events lives in orange county, works at the Long beach office, and is just centering them around those locations. If there was one north of Downtown LA that wasn't in the Bay area or north of there, I haven't seen it.

When will they reach northern California Bay Area?

Also why are they only posting on Instagram ( @slateauto ), which I never use and I do not know any one who does. I don't have an account.

I am guessing there won't be any more events until the big announcement/order opening next month. They have been having multiple short(4 hours or less) events centered around Long Beach CA, probably because they have a design studio there, but they all seemed to be DTLA south to the north end of San Diego area.
Hopefully with the announcement they will also announce a FULL schedule of events for the next month, all over the place, and including at least sitting in trucks for reservation holders. It all depends on how far along they are with the factory, If they actually have gotten to the point of getting full trucks through the line at even a trickle, for testing and demos.

It annoys me when companies do this. I see it more often with facebook. Thanks, I purposely avoid social media with negative antifeatures. You have an actual web site, why not use it?

Those nearby to Virginia might want to check out this venue starting tomorrow. While it’s primarily for commercial fleet customers they will have a truck on display.

Well, that and slate.auto and YouTube and TikTok and Bluesky and Twitter and all the rest. I haven't used my Twitter in years, deleted Facebook years ago (before Instagram was a thing).
