This also may not have been so much poaching, as a voluntary move on both sides. Tesla may be cutting back, and he left rather than he or someone else getting cut from the team.

I am kind of surprised there isn't a non-compete clause getting in the way, but those really should provide for compensation for the time you aren't allowed to work in your field of expertise.
