Happy to be here. I made my Slate EV Truck reservation during the live reveal on April 24. For now, I'm opting for the basic grey panel finish, perhaps a few minor cosmetic flourishes to help me identify it in crowded parking lot and the bigger battery underneath. My current ride is a pearl white 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV, which I bought used a decade ago. Only 65 miles per charge, but I love that simple little EV. My previous (final gasoline powered) car was a 1995 Saturn and it had a similar poly panel with steel cage uni-frame construction, like the Slate. Heck, that one even had hand-cranked windows (as did my '51 Chevy and '64 VW Beetle.) I think Mr. Slate and I are going to get along just fine.

I needed this forum to convince me…that and I felt I had to cancel my Scout reservation first. Now I’m all in.
