Here's for all the tall future Slate owners - a 6'10" journalist from Motortrend reviews and sits in the driver's seat and rear seat of the Slate truck.

Just buy a full size.

Over six foot and squeeze into a Toyota Tacoma daily.

And that’s probably little bigger than the Slate?

It's Ok once in the Tacoma but full size would definitely be better for anyone over 6’!

lol 🤣

If you're referring to the last generation Tacoma that has the worst interior comfort I've ever experienced. You're almost sitting on the floor. Blows my mind how many people bought them for their reliability but had to put up with that every day.

I feel like this has been the issue with every Toyota I've ever been in. While I'm on the topic, let's get the HiLux imported into the US.

You're almost sitting on the floor.

Pretty encouraging. I'm 6'3" and have been comfortably driving a 1981 Toyota SR5 2wd shortbed the past 32 years. Would love a new small PU to give her a little rest.

The 4G? (last generation) Tacoma is notorious for lack of head height combined with low seating position (to maximize ground clearance). Fixed in the current generation.

I hope the slate has decent tilt to the steering column. I have a Honda Element, and even with the driver's seat fully lowered, the top of the steering wheel covers up the top of the speedometer.

Edit: and I'm just under 6'1!

Edit 2: They pulled that guy straight out of The Simpsons
