This is great news for those that travel between Northern California and Southern California!

84 stalls are open now. 168 stalls will open at the end of 2025.

These Superchargers do not rely on the power grid and works off solar panels & mega Telsa battery packs.

When the power grid for the state or nation goes down, where do you think I will be able to recharge my EVs ?

All those gas powered ICE can't run because the motor pumps that pull fuel from under the stations are all off....

Ok just got to read the article there’s gonna be 168 stalls at this one location if so that seems excessive but I haven’t seen just how busy it is ether just seems like a lot that might not get used as much which for longevity is good still seems excessive or is it 168 more across the state ?

Yes, 168 seems excessive in that part of the state that's rural, very low population, and only has the major i5 freeway that people use.

In comparison the huge Baker, CA off the I15 to Vegas that has 96 older V2/V3 Superchargers that we non Teslas can't access....

The biggest change is that these are all the new V4 towers with 325kW and much longer charge cords making it easy for non Teslas to charge.

Plus the almost off grid solar panels w/ battery storage makes this the perfect grid down station.

When the state power goes down, at least you can recharge while ICE can not get fuel.

BTW: Next to my home, we have 72 Tesla V3 Superchargers and only about 10% get used whenever I charge.
