I thought the Slate wasn't a truck?
If the front-of-bed partition is installed, you're golden.
Slate Auto Pickup Truck TFL Truck Video: EV Trucks Are DEAD. (& Their Take on Slate) Crumb_Keep_On_Truckin

Edit: The linked thread doesn't claim the Truck isn't a truck. It's more of a PSA about what type of truck the Truck is, and what capabilities you should expect from it.

Never heard of those guys.

But on a little trip to the mountains today, I noticed a lot of older 2 door pickup trucks.

Maybe it's my generation, but if our first car was a passed down family four-door, it was a "drive of shame" going to school every morning. NOBODY wanted to be seen driving a four-door. At one point I got the family 67 Falcon Futura 4door with 3 on the tree. In an act of desperation, I put deck stripes on it. Not a proud memory.

I'm so tired of everyone thinking that having 2 doors will kill sales. I've never been more confident that Slates will sell like cups of water in hell. Hoping for an ipo so I can buy in.
Dealers have pushing 4 doors for years as they are more profitable. 90%+ of the pickup I see everywhere have two or less people in them.
I get it if your truck is your only transportation and you have a family that needs to get to practice. Work trucks for lawn care and construction might have several people in the truck too, but that’s a minority use case for a pickup in most areas.

My son is going to turn 16 next August. He really wants a truck. Before the Slate his dream vehicle was either a two-door 90s era ranger or a Japanese K truck. We still have quite a bit of time but he’s all in on the Slate if it’s something we can afford as a family. My first truck was an 80’s Nissan. My first new car bought off the dealership line was a 1994 Chevy S-10. I know markets change people’s needs and wants change and nostalgia sits in but at least in our family. The Slate is a very desirable product if it was available today I would purchase it on the spot a year from now. My feelings might be different, but it fits the need for our family for a rule utility vehicle for an emerging driver.

TFL is garbage and is basically a cheap mouthpiece for Toyota.

Also these were the same idiots arguing that if Kei trucks were facing legal issues due to safety and highway capabilities, Old jeeps, VW beetles etc shouldn't be legal either, completely ignoring both the half century of tech difference, grandfathering of them, and the fact that those aren't allowed on the interstate either.
