I’ve done a couple renders myself on different wheelbases including the current 2 door wheelbase.

haha. I actually think there's plenty of room for rear doors on the current wheelbase but based on the images of the naked "Skateboard" they didn't future proof for that addition later for some reason.

If I add up everything I’ve read that people wish the Slate had, suddenly you’ve got a $100K Rivian. Kinda misses the whole point.

I’ll concede that 2-dr pickups are rare these days but I rarely see more than one or two people in any vehicle. And I chuckle when I see the huge 4-dr pickups unable to carry 4x8 sheet goods within their beds at the lumber yard. If you want a truck, buy a truck; if you want to haul people, buy a car.

I was thinking the same thing. With all the add ons people are hoping for why don't they just get a Cybertruck

The renders have the front door too long. In reality a 4-door cab would have shorter (less long) front doors.

They don’t seem that long to me, but I assumed Slate would want to use the same front doors on a 4 door to cut costs. That’s what the Jeep JK/JL/JT does, but the 6G Bronco has longer doors for the 2 door. I think the current Suzuki Jimny also has different doors for 2/4 door front doors. Makes sense for rear seat access with a 2 door but obviously more expensive than common front doors for different body styles.

He has no idea what he is talking about. His child safety seat and everything he knows centers around 4 doors. I'll wait for his YouTube video a few years from now when he admits how clueless he was about the 2 door Slate

What a jerk way to make the point that 4 doors are more popular that two doors.
Millions of two door trucks have been sold. Just because automakers focused on the 4 door, therefore the price difference between a new four-door and two-door truck is not much so people just say might as well have the four-door.

I feel like this is Scout. It's becoming posh and techy the more they reveal about it... An expensive off-road focused EV. This slate has more in common with original Scout design philosophy than the new scouts.
