Elsewhere in the FAQ, they clarified not once but five times that your $300 preorder counts towards the final purchase price. It’s not refundable, but it will be counted toward the final purchase price of your Slate. The $300 preorder deposit counts toward the final purchase price. A preorder is a $300 ($250 with an active reservation) non-refundable deposit that ... counts toward your purchase of a Slate. Your $300 preorder counts toward the final purchase price. Apparently Slate felt that needed to be emphasized, so I repeated it too!
So are you saying the $300 is refundable? Lol

I'll see if I can make my change log viewable on my accessory tracker. I'll also try to add wraps back. I see they are trying to make a Key Fob & Slatelet to go with the Crayola Collab.

Added Filters for (All, New, Recently Updated, Not For Sale). I also added a Recent Changes section if you view Details. I'll try to clean it up a little bit.

Seems like Slate should hire you for the website.

I just noticed it is updated to say "Get your sleek, 5-seat Fastback SUV straight from the factory." And something similar for the square back.
Sounding more and more like factory SUVs will be built as SUVs.

Another update to the FAQ today - they added this section:

Can I flat tow a Slate?
Like most fully electric vehicles, a Slate should not be flat towed because it risks damaging the battery and electric motors that power the wheels. We recommend using a flatbed trailer.
"Electric motors" is PLURAL? I know it's RWD, but do we get independent rear wheels with Rivian-like independent torque control? I briefly forgot all about affordability concerns and asked Slate chat. Good news is they didn't accidentally make it unnecessarily more expensive, Karen said that was a typo, it's rear-wheel drive with one motor. Oh well, it was a fun idea.

The $300 preorder continues to be non-refundable and still counts towards the purchase price.

I'm pretty sure the 3D Viewer never went fully around the vehicle. My recollection is that it stopped at like three quarters of the way around. Am I crazy?

Anyway, today I see it circles the entire vehicle.

It could be me! 🤣

It used to before the updates, but last time I checked it didn't.

It does now! It's still nowhere near what it used to be, zooming in on individual accessories, but at least you can spin 360 on the external view.

I don't think that you could spin 360 before, but you could at least zoom in on eg. the tail lights and then rotate rotate to a view of the passenger side from there, or zoom in on the front fog lamps and rotate to the passenger side from that end. Or click the action spots and *open the tailgate*, that's still missing. I liked the old viewer, but at least they're still working on it!

I don't trust my brain from before, but today it spins freely. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What spins freely - our brains or the 3D truck in the Maker? lololoool

This place is just chock full of inspiration.

I’m seeing a new wrap option, for lower partial wrap only. There is a second “classic” wrap pulldown, priced at $379.99 instead of $289.99. The only wrap option in this pull-down is “snow dog custom” which looks like satin white with a black and a red stripe on it.

Anybody else seeing this?

Yeah, I see it - looks like a bug.

I love that they're basically developing the updates to the Maker live in production, it's fine because no one can actually purchase any of these yet and it keeps the rabid enthusiasts (us) engaged in free QC.

I did poke around a bit more and find that they've got full/partial/decal options for the Signature wraps which I hadn't noticed before:

I'm not that excited about the full-on $800 designs, but a $130 set of decals could be cool.
