What are your personal MUST HAVE Add-Ons/Accessories for your Slate?

I feel without some factory provision for a reasonable audio system anything added on will be a kludge.

Along those lines - I sincerely hope they're considering making CAD drawings available for most of the bolt-on pieces. It's not like the stuff can't be duplicated with a scanner already - might as well embrace the aftermarket fully. IMO it would be a big win in the credibility department.

This information is usually available to aftermartket businesses. Will be interesting to see what they make available to the public. I expect this to make a big splash at the SEMA show in November next year.

Kludge is a great word.

I get the idea of trimming back, but users want their audio to work seamlessly with their car. Turn the car on, plug the phone in, music plays.

Reading some of these requests like heated seats, steering wheel, leather seats, lumbar support, etc . . These people are looking at the wrong truck. Maybe a Tesla will suit their needs better. My first car was made in the 60ies so just A/C is Huge

Basic Slate with MAYBE just upgraded wheels/tires and the two inch lift.
May consider the spare wheel setup on the tailgate. Really gives it that 60’s Scout truck vibe.

Or a Ford F150 Lightning EV.

I had for a year the '22 Lariat trim Lightning truck and it had all those features, but it costed $70,000 w/ $7500 tax credit.

My current EV is a Mach E but that costed $54,000 w/ $3750 tax credit.

For this mini EV truck, I just want the basics to get me to work and back.
Can't wait for the basic Slate at $27K - hoping for tax credit, but not counting on it....

I was thinking the same thing but 1000 towing capacity isn't much. I rent a U-Haul trailer about every 3 years to run my John Deere lawn tractor in for service but I looked up just the weight of the trailer and it's over 1000 lbs. I don't have one but even something like a single jet ski will be above 1000 lbs. Good thing John Deere offers home pickup

2" receiver lets me use all the 2" stuff I have. I have a little dump trailer that I pull with a 4 wheeler and a few other things. The Slate is going to replace my 4 wheeler and also be used to go get gas for the lawn mowers. And I am bound to get it stuck so I need tow hooks. It's got enough torque for towing small things. Like my trash cans the half mile to take the trash out and back.

I’m thinking a JBL Bullet speaker and my iPhone with Sirius XM app. Easy peasy. And with lowest monthly rate it’s cheap too. 😊

Cargo Kit, custom wrap, 2” lift, AT tires, roof rack, powered BT speakers, center console. Maybe the rear bumper and spare tire carrier too. The great part is all of those things can be added over time or done all at once up front and rolled into the purchase price.
