I am on the short side so I am wondering if it would be comfortable for me. I have owned 3 different brands of full size trucks and they really are not made for me even with all of the electric adjustments. I am 5’ and a little bit. When I first sat into a Japanese car in the 80’s, I realized that they do make cars for me. lol. I sure hope I fit into this truck because it looks like I will buy it before I can sit into one. I might have to have a custom setup so I will be 100% comfortable. 1 hr to work each way so please be comfortable.

My problem is a little different but I feel your concern. I have a fairly long torso of say, a 6'4" person, but the legs and arms of a jockey. (or t-rex arms, lol). I like to say I'm tall sitting down. I have a hard time making it work on some cars. But I had an 84 mazda pickup, and two second generation Rangers so I think I'm going to be fine.

Slate had posted a video with various height drivers sitting in one, and the shortest person was 5'5". I don't know if anyone shorter than that has sat in one at an event, and can tell us how they fit. This is a concern for me, as my wife is 5 nothin, and I can't really buy a vehicle she can't also drive. That being said, we haven't really come across any vehicles that she can't comfortably drive, so it might be a non-issue.

5-3 here, I also rely on the presentation of the 5-5 gal in the video. If necessary, a seat cushion (booster) and shoes with thick heels/soles will help me get in the proper and comfortable position. 😅

At 6'4" I have the opposite problem with fit in a lot of vehicles. Quick online search and there are a good amount of pedal extension options available.

It's tough not being in two standard deviations from the mean human size. Things just aren't built for the tallies and the shorties.

😂Tall sitting down. Too funny. I am short sitting down and standing up.

Yes, if your 5ft this would be a great EV.

But if you are 6ft get a Lightning, GMC EV, Hummer or SilEVarado!

Can’t say the Slate is any more roomy than a Model 3/Y, but I know I was less crampt up in the Lightning vs the others.

Think “Full size truck seat, vs 1980 Honda Civic seat!”

“Trust by Verify” -Pres. Ronald Reagan.

Ok yes, “comfortably” I didn’t mention.

The original question was can a “5ft and a little bit” fit comfortably.

Yes, but again a 6ft, person shouldn’t compromise.

Not saying they cant.

That same video shows a 6'6" driver. An earlier video had a driver even taller.
Is this supposed to be sarcasm saying 6 ft tall shouldn't get the Slate or just trolling?
6 foot is only 3 inches above the national average for males in the US of 5'9"

When I first sat into a Japanese car in the 80’s, I realized that they do make cars for me.
The side-impact safety standards for a Japanese car from the 80s are very different from today. Car designers across the industry are making A and B pillars thicker, and windows and dashes higher, not because they forgot that short people exist but because they realized that people see with their eyes not their nipples, and also because steel is better than glass at keeping other cars out of the passenger compartment.

I expect that the Slate will fit both a 5' person or a 6'5" person without problems, but neither will feel like they're in an 80s Honda.

You misunderstood me. Back in the 80’s most cars were huge cars from the 1970’s and even the smaller cars the three American manufacturers made were actually big on the inside still. An example is if you pull the seat up all the way on an original Chrysler mini van you could roll the window down because the crank hit the seat once you pulled it up for a short person. You had to put the seat back roll the window up or down and then put the seat up. When paying for a toll it gets to the point where you don’t want the car. Another one is the seat bottom hits the back of my calf on many cars. Reaching the stereo gets old. The Japanese cars had everything oriented for shorter people probably because of the average height of Japanese people back then. Many Northern European companies also made most models big on the inside although some where highly adjustable even manually like the Volvo 240 in the early 1990’s. I am a car enthusiast like many people on here and I have always had a job that driving was included in it. I had a tuner car before they were called that. I just love cars. I just remembered my brother 1970 something MGB. It was such a small car in the outside and huge on the inside. I drove it to the corner store once and that was it. I had to hold myself up with the steering wheel to be able to see and reach the clutch and shift all at the same time. That is what I mean buy the fact the car was not made for me. I had two RX7s and a Celica and I fit perfectly.
