I think your correct E904, had they taken that approach initially, possibly further along. Maybe we are wrong and they did and we don’t see it. That would be great.

There are a lot of folks myself included who are glad to not see AWD. Guys that would buy an s10 or ranchero will be happy.

the only thing I would like to see is a beefed up rear structure and very responsive power/heat limiting software available to increase the durability of the hitch attachment and max hitch weight.

with the power train ON the rear axle the weight increase needed to have an extremely indestructible hitch and absolute rating is under 200lbs of materials due to fact the enforcement only needs to run to the rear axle, nothing to the front needs any change to support a beefier hitch load rating because all power and torque are in the back .
EV drivetrains are easily programmable to set a max power limit to continuously drive at rated power without wear or damage.
I miss my old slow efficient vehicles that could tow anything I wanted, albeit very slowly.

even though they can’t increase the weight rating due to the vehicle’s size/weight
having the back end built way stronger than the rating would be a nice change.
