What's the mechanism for locking it in the angled position? Similar to the Maverick where you unhook the support cables and move them to a different location?... you can actually lock the gate in a half open/closed position for when you rest longer items on the wheel wells it will also comfortably lie-down on top of the gate in that position.
Very similar but I don’t think he actually moved anything. If I ever get another opportunity I will definitely get a video of it. Since I’m currently drawing a blank exactly on how he did it.What's the mechanism for locking it in the angled position? I'm old enough to remember someone freaking out that a pic from a prototype had vertical seat rails that looked like drawer slides and subsequently basing their entire opinion of the Slate on that.Extra long seat tracks allow the front passenger seat to slide forward that it’s practically touching the dashboard. This facilitates easy access to the rear seats.

With the folding rear seat and sliding the passenger seat all the way forward you might be able to get something pretty long inside and still seat two people one behind the other on the driver side.Extra long seat tracks allow the front passenger seat to slide forward that it’s practically touching the dashboard. This is the reason for it:That’s an unfortunate placement for the roll bar - bites into bed storage more than necessary
It looks like I will be able to fit my road and gravel bikes inside the SUV without taking a wheel out. Possible use a bungee around the C pillar to secure it, or lean against the other rear seat (one side down, one side up) And use a seat belt.![]()

I'm assuming we can remove at least the lower part of the plastic cover to recover a litle of that space. That’s an unfortunate placement for the roll bar - bites into bed storage more than necessary
