How about a folding bed in the back seat the seat could fold back and extend to be a bed would be neet for long trips and save on motel fees because let’s be honest we ain’t paying them hotel prices and it could just attach to where the head rests are since there would be 6 pegs to attach to making it hopefully pretty solid

In keeping with Slate’s multi use for parts perhaps the SUV rear seat can be tweaked to also serve as a front seat with console.
6 passenger?

Hi David,
Thanks so much for your thoughtful suggestion and for your interest in how Slate’s modular design might support a front bench seat configuration.
At this time, we don’t have plans to offer a front bench seat or a fold-down center console option. While we’re always exploring ways to expand functionality and flexibility, our current interior layout is focused on optimizing safety, comfort, and usability with individual front seats.
We truly appreciate your input it’s ideas like yours that help shape the future of Slate.

Cheers,
Alysa

When I look at the Slate, especially the future AWD version, I see the perfect dune buggy. So my first favorite accessory would be to redesign the roof to be removable.

My second favorite accessory would be a 1/2 extended cab. By that I mean make a gear locker that can replace the panel below the window. So you can access from inside and outside. I'd configure the outer thirds to be outside accessible. And I'd use the middle third as accessible from inside the cab.

Are you saying as a replacement for the midgate? That's genius!

Agree, today's teenagers don't know the advantages of a bench seat.
That makes me think that a bench seat might help with the USA population crisis. We are not bearing children at the required 2.3 children per female to maintain population. Our population is only growing via immigration.

I have a funny feeling a Slate available with a bench seat and purchased by younglings might nudge that childbearing statistic in the right direction.

Then we would need to export to Japan and most of Europe if that was the consequence. Same issues.

If they don't make it removable, I don't see any reason you couldn't put a sunroof in that roof.

You're reminding me that I need to stop putting off mowing 😅
I saw that one, looks decent, but hoping to get something more custom fit from Slate.
