I 3d printed my own Slate Time Machine.
Does it run on regular unleaded gasoline?
Unfortunately no, it requires something with a little more kick. Plutonium!
Wait a minute. Are you telling me that this sucker is nuclear?
No, no, no, no, no. This sucker is electrical!

I see a whole industry starting for Slate regarding this idea.
With panels that can be bolted off and on easily, there's nothing to say that replacement panels need to be the same shape and style as stock. I would expect body kits in a wide variety of styles to become a thing if Slate takes off.

How many of these classic looks be reasonably be reworked for today's Slate?
The classic rear fender wells and box beds. Frontends similar to the 53 ford, 56 Chevy and 49 Studebaker.

The Fiero had bolt on panels too, there were a lot of kit cars based on it.
