Lol, not installed yet, just placed in shed
We have a 10.25kW grid-tied array. Best home improvement money spent - guaranteed to pay for itself.

Where will you put it? Our roof is maxed out.

Poor pic, will have to get drone up when done. But the new 8.6kw pretty much takes any viable existing roof on my tractor shed, see top, blue array. Currently have 18.4 kw on the several roof areas at differing orientations. We are 100% off grid. These new panels will tie to its own all in one inverter charger, augmenting the battery charging, but its separate AC will primarily be for daytime Level 2 charging.

As my teenagers would say, "David is kind of GOATED". I haven't met him, but based on his posts, I'd tend to agree that he's living the dream. Well done, Sir.

Are any of those used or are they all new? I understand used modules can be found at great prices and still have lots of life left.

They were all new when I installed. My original install were 125w panels, over $700 each when i got them 2006 and didn’t have a problem reselling when replaced. Contract to the new ones i just got, $190 for 430w.

About 12 years ago I had our gas-fired furnace replaced with a geothermal heat pump and the gas water heater with an electric. After saving up for it, I had the photovoltaic array installed. The ability to adapt to these changes were a primary factor when shopping around for another home in our neighborhoods here in Ohio. It's really made a big difference in our utility bills. For your situation in Hawaii, solar would only work better!

Bravo Zulu, sir. 🫡
