I have a Bose Mini Soundlink BT speaker I may use first off. I just put it up on the dash in my Hummer if I want to listen to music/podcasts via my phone. Not super loud though.I got the impression it wasn't specifically for JBL and more of a holder for a generic cylinder shaped BT speaker. Like perhaps there is some flex in it so it can open wider to accommodate a range of diameters. I am hoping for that because I already have a non-branded JBL like BT speaker that I plan to use in my Slate.
Doesn’t the Ridgeline have a twice as big cabin too? That will affect the sound from your speaker. It just needs to be tried in an actual Slate before you will know for sure.I have a JBL Flip 5 that I tested out in my Ridgeline to get a feel for how much sound and how “full” it would sound. I will need something a little better.
I was thinking one of the bigger JBLs or maybe the Marshall Kilburn III.
It does have a bigger cabin, you’re right. However, I can tell I would want something with a bigger sound. It wasn’t a loudness problem, it’s just too thin sounding.Doesn’t the Ridgeline have a twice as big cabin too? That will affect the sound from your speaker. I would still wait to make a decision, I guess I am a cheapskate and don’t want to spend money on something that I may not need to.It does have a bigger cabin, you’re right. However, I can tell I would want something with a bigger sound. It wasn’t a loudness problem, it’s just too thin sounding.
