Just a little weekly post from P.R. listing any interviews done, stuff coming up, or progress on the plant. Or just shoutouts from the employees. Any info would be appreciated no matter how small. Slate is already the most transparent company out there. This would only make it more so.

Old Retiree with nothing to do but obsess on Slate.

I get the desire for serotonin-triggering news bits. Telo excels at this. They have a great PR guy who puts out little shorts every week. They're often silly and triviial, but they keep fans interested.

Slate is older. Telo is staffed by the very young, and they are all about social media. If you look at Slate, it's grizzled, older industry veterans. They're more old school. They'll release news bits only when there is a reason to - meaning a significant development that reassures investors or reservation holders.

Last month they showed the printing plant being gutted. My guess is the next release will be in a few months, showing robots going into the assembly line. Then a huge news release next summer or fall (depends on how far behind they've fallen) for the first production representative prototypes rolling off the line. Then of course a massive ceremony in late December where they deliver the first few Slates rolling off the line - probably to employee buyers who are really doing testing of initial production.

Slate is about low cost. Investing time and effort to entertain Slate fanboys like us is not low cost. It's time and money poorly spent.

Agreed, the official website hasn’t seen any updates since inception, other than roadshow events. I understand there are higher priorities at Slate, but at least it would keep us from losing interest. No news is not necessarily good news.
Website just added a metal sign. Bought one for my garage to go next to my Studebaker one. (South Bend native)

Building factories and designing cars is a slow process. We should just leave the good people of slate alone so they can get their work done. Watching the sausage being made is difficult.
