When they announced pricing would be released on June 24th, I contacted Slate and asked them if the extended range battery would be listed. The reply was that it would not and that would be listed just before placing your order.
i contacted them again and said the most people would be hesitant to put down another $250 without that information.
This is the reply I got back:
“Hi Tim,
We hear your frustration and we want to make sure you have the full picture.
On June 24th, when pre-orders open, full pricing will be announced at the same time. That means you'll see the exact cost of the base truck, the extended battery, and every accessory and kit before you're asked to make any non-refundable commitment. Nobody is being asked to commit blind.
So the $300 non-refundable step and the full pricing disclosure happen on the same day, in that order. You see the numbers first, then decide if you want to move forward. Your $50 reservation is fully refundable right up until that moment.
We completely understand the hesitation and we think June 24th will give you everything you need. We'll make sure your feedback is passed along to the team.
Best,

then I got a followup to that when I replied about how o was glad it changed because the extended range battery and power windows were the only things I really wanted:
“Hi Tim,
Yes, that has changed! June 24th is when we'll have important pricing and product information available.
And good news on the accessories side. When you place your pre-order the focus is on selecting your body style and battery. You don't need to lock in accessories like the power window kit or anything else until closer to your delivery. So you'll have plenty of time to think through those details without any pressure.
Hope that puts your mind at ease!
