Could we add a i4 or a v6 later on? (I know it’s an ev now)

I am wondering if later on slate will have an inline 4 or a v6 option, I feel like this would help sell the truck better. (I know it is an EV)

Doubt it because different regulations on gas vs ev could cost more for the company plus big redesign if they want to make it rwd and more for 4x4 adding even more cost on the first runs but never say never id say

Nope. The Slate truck was built as an EV from the ground up. Completely different architecture than ICE.

I wouldn't say never., but I doubt it. I think we'd have see them become successful with there current projects before they would branch out. If they do it will be a long time out

I don't expect Slate will ever add this, but they won't stop you from adding it to yours.

Simply put, putting an ICE in the Slate does not fit with their mission statement...

... It requires very little maintenance of brakes, tires, cooling fluids, cabin filter and wiper fluids.

Installing an i4 or V6 will impose major maintenance schedules over the life of the vehicle.

Have you seen the IH Scout EREV that are also slated to come out next year ?

500 mile range with both EV and ICE recharger:

I put in a reservation last year and will see if this materializes.
