Yes, the Slate truck does feature pedestrian avoidance. It comes standard with a comprehensive safety suite that includes automated emergency braking, forward collision warning, and pedestrian detection technology. These features actively scan the road ahead to identify people in your path and can automatically apply the brakes to help prevent or mitigate imminent collisions.
I was surprised Slate doesn't have blind spot warning. I thought it had been mandatory for several years. But apparently it isn't required.
It would be nice if there was a drivers side convex door mirror. Much of the world gets convex mirrors on the driver side. A few USA cars have a "split view" mirror. The problem is US government regulators can't figure out what the rest of the world already has.
