I see LG/E offers 85.00 a year but I don’t see anything else. What zip are you using?

I tried Henderson, Lexington and Louisville and usually got 4 results each. I checked mine and saw 5, and a nearby town and got 4 results. Some just had to deal with a L2 charger, some were for used, and some to buy or lease new cars. I probably won't be able to use any by the time Slate is available, not even for the charger.

I checked that site and found out that NM offers incentives. The vehicle just needs to be 1) under $55,000 and 2) sold by a dealer within the state. Slate might have a problem with the second, since NM doesn't allow direct-to-consumer (exceptions exist though).

Texas had a $2500 EV credit, limited to I believe 1000 people. Of course, I haven't checked to see if its still around with Trump in office, since Republicans are eager to punish people for owning an EV (the national EV tax was dropped in the BBB, simply because there wasn't a system to collect the tax, not that it was too high. One Republican wanted the tax to be $500, instead of $250 for EVs. It originally had a provision to tax ICE vehicles $20 per year, but was dropped when people complained that $20 was too high)

Lived in Henderson in 2007-2008. I am genuinely surprised.

In my area there is a local rebate, but only for buying from a local dealer. Power company has a income based assistance if you need to upgrade a too small power meter to install level 2 charging, and one for used EVs. The state wide ones all ran out a while back.

its not that they want to punish EVs it is that EVS dont pay any gas tax and they are often very heavy putting more wear on roads than gas cars.

EVs are only incrementally more heavy than gas vehicles, while semis and busses are overwhelmingly heavier. The wear goes by the fourth power of the axle load, so comparing a 2 ton car to a 30 ton truck, the truck does 15000 times the damage to the road. If vehicles were taxed by damage done, trucks would basically have to pay for almost all road maintenance.
