I'm surprised Slate hasn't leaned into that one. With crank windows, no radio, you're raw doggin' every trip.

It's always fun to see Raw Dogging from that Seinfeld Episode or random other older stuff gain traction again. You never know what is all of a sudden get rediscovered. All of a sudden this week my instagram feed has starting fill with clips from the 2012 kids show "Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood" with full comment sections of people hating on the main character LOL.
How can you hate Daniel? He’s Mr Rogers’ cartoon incarnation.
Even my little kids now loved Daniel and I can hear some of those songs in my head now…

I love the mental image of raw dogging in the Slate (keep your mind on this instance of the phrase please)…not as apt in Atlanta traffic, for example, but in 90% of US, would be sweet!

Consider that even a brand-new (actual 20+mpg unloaded) gas Silverado as a dedicated tow pig plus a Slate as a runabout, would actually have a combined cost (and weight) of less than the Max Range Silverado EV. Things that make you go hmm...
You make a good point, though some would argue that extra insurance cost, etc etc etc for 2 vs 1 vehicle. The numbers need to make sense, which I agree with.
Not having to stop for 1 additional hour (unhook, recharge, rehook) every 1.5 hours of driving would be WELL worth whatever that cost difference might be. Going from a 20 to a 36 gallon tank was game changing. Even if it was just as easy (no unhooking) and quick (5-10min) to recharge, I can't imagine trying to do it on less than half of just the 20 gallon range.

I absolutely agree! I had a '21 F150 Lariat with 36 gallon tank...I drove 450 miles in a hurricane and never stopped a couple of years ago....that wouldn't have gone too well in my Lightning!

In a way, this makes the argument for the upcoming Ramcharger? Range anxiety with proper towing performance - over?

I will say we should get pull though chargers on major highways before long. But you definitely have a point in most circumstances.
