This seems to confirm that the SUV kit will not be available installed from the factory but shipped separately to be installed later.

This has been the case all along, right?

"To reduce cost, and increase reliability"
I get the whole "it's just hot air" stance, but it's their entire mantra. This is what I like about the brand. No increase profit, or features, or whtever, just to increase reliability. So nice to hear

This is how they have worded it atleast, still no definite answer though.

That's what they have always said. If you don't want to install it yourself, it can be installed by a repairpal location.

Last time I checked, Slate was a for-profit enterprise. Meaning they're here to empty your wallet just the same as every other company. If Slate can suck you in with their narrative, hooray for Slate.

The proof is in the pudding, not the recipe. As of 25 April 2026, we will have experienced a full calendar year of seemingly endless hot air.

While I can appreciate a fanboy's enthusiasm, I have higher regard for the pragmatist. It's better to view things based on what we know rather than what we wish or hope for.

This could be a thread all its own here.

Still looking forward to production though.

The word is>> INTERESTING<<

You are welcome.
Now now, let's not force the use of spelling and grammar checkers on us unwashed masses. Besides, Intrasting is much more interesting! After all, the spelling error caught your attention. 🤣

I'd appreciate a few more grammatical errors please. It's a major turn on.

We have all known the schedule from the start, I don't see the point of saying this.

There is a difference between "sucking you in with a narrative" and spending money on a product, that isn't disposable junk like almost everything these days.

Isn't the point being all the 'updates' haven't really said anything new or useful? It's mostly been 'we'll know more as we get closer to production' - which really isn't informative.

I get it - potential buyers are weighing their options on how to best spend their money. There's some lingering questions to be answered with solid facts, and enthusiastic speculation is insufficient.
