Got the email too.
Said I was Reservation #000001 😎
Where did it say that in the email? I ordered the very SECOND the form when live and my reservation number (SL8-5528-3999-4833) appears to be higher than people who ordered after me... 🤔

Rivian did the same thing, nice print in the color that was ordered. But to be honest I don't remember if that was with my initial reservation or after my confirmed order.

There wasn't an option to add an address when I first signed up for an account on day 1 of reservations, so it may be that they're just reaching out to us very very early people to complete our profile.
I've been through all the menu options having to do with my profile and haven't found where to add my shipping address. Where do I find that particular option?

I got the email yesterday. I'll give them my street address if they are delivering my Slate via Amazon.

They did. It’s the VW Buzz.

Not cheap and I don’t what kinda range your looking for but it is Mini-Bus.

i was looking at that the other day, the range is not great, it would probably be a decent option if it was cheaper. it is also lacking in storage space inside especially behind the rear seats.

Considering how long it took VW to bring the Buzz to market, it seems like a really big missed opportunity. So much anticipation, and so much disappointment. Would make an excellent Harvard Business School case study.

It'll be nice to see what Slate ends up sending out. I'll even just take a free beer soda koozie or other branded merch that you can get from companies that do that kind of promo stuff.

The company-man side of me thinks that this is Slate's chance to gauge how many reservation holders are more committed / still invested, and get their general location information so they can see how many people-per-state have reserved for delivery logistics / future service center location priority.

I think you nailed it, with the location/commitment aspect. It is cheap intel for them and they get to also send a simple thank you that their most loyal supporters (myself included) will appreciate. win/win
