As much as I want to see them, I considered driving 10 hours to Nashville. But now that they won't let you sit in them I'm thinking I might as well wait till they start showing actual line produced trucks with the actual plastic panels and almost finalized design. Maybe they'll even let you drive one around a parking lot. ARGGGHH I want my Slate NOW! I'm 67 and feel like I did when I was 12 waiting on my Estes model rockets to arrive in the mail. Pure torture!
I know what you mean! For one, I’d like to see one but I want to sit in one that will be like the one I would buy. I’m also anxiously awaiting it to come out so I can get mine….and I’m 76 so the click is ticking! 😊

They finally posted new dates/"more details to come' on the events page.
I’m excited that Slate is coming to Southern California. Hopefully, they are thinking of multiple dates and locations.
Tesla would put on events at their service centers for owners and those interested in EVs and they were overwhelmed by the attendance. Crowds and parking were crazy!

I can relate. Be 79 next month. Really, really hoping I get mine for my 80th.

Not sure if my display is ā€œoffā€ but the pictures of the blank Slate is coming up mint green on my iPhone.

More than likely, it’s the lighting in the event room.

Interestingly, the Slate truck with the faux green tint bears a resemblance to the new Scout Traveler color, Pacific Mist, if you can imagine it with a matte finish. Hmmm...

Some interesting pics from the event in DC, just posted on my feed in Facebook. I particularly like the USA flag Easter egg on the drivers door šŸ‘. Appears the fit and finish seems to improve as the design matures.
If the fit and finish look better at the latest event, maybe they figured out that those real early prototypes they were showing off weren't cutting it, and so they substituted in some later builds. From all indications all the tour up until now was done with the same couple of units, that seemed to be some of the first "drive-able" builds, maybe with a non drive-able one mixed in.

Another Slate event, not sure if it was announced on their website:

Slate showed off their fastback model at the UP. summit at Bentonville Arkansas on September 28.
