Request to get truck at the Factory instead of delivery

I have requested the option for me to pickup the truck at the Indiana factory to drive home to Minnesota!

Likely wouldn't save you anything, if there is a destination fee, those are by law "normalized" so everyone pays the same.

I did this (sorta) for my first Tesla back in 2019. The car I wanted was in Chicago, and Tesla wanted $1k to ship it to the service center nearby. I decided to fly out to Chicago and drive it back. I probably only saved a few hundred bucks between the flight, hotel, meals, and supercharging, but it was a great experience.

If you're driving back to MN, I hope you get the extended battery!

I'm thinking of the adventure of doing it!
I had that thought too but I gave it up. I'd drive it to Iowa. I have no EV experience so it would be a sink or swim adventure for me. It might be a good adventure for you if you can get the truck.
