This makes me wonder what kind of Slates we will see on the used market in ten years. I predict some truly strange and possibly wonderful concoctions. It's the new minibus. As a former owner, I can attest that you just felt empowered to modify and decorate those things without restraint.

Slates most difficult time will be in the first few years when production is limited. But the more they get into the hands of consumers and 2nd or 3rd owners get on the hands of them. The more the Slate Truck is going to sell itself.

Using the phone mount's sliding rail for decorations is genius. I wonder if many owners will remove Slate's phone mount to put other things on the rail.

Personally I use a phone mount that clips to the vent, which I like because I can switch between my charger and aux cord with one hand. Plus I like my phone a bit higher up, so I'll clip mine to Slate's dashboard vent.

So now I'm thinking of the fun things you could 3D print for the sliding rail if you're not putting a device there. You could have cupholders, little bobbleheads, a tiny basket of candy...

It would be trivially easy to go nuts with the wraps. You can as shown here go tie died, you could do any camo pattern, zebra stripes or other animal prints, there are already rolls of wrap available they call holographic, but it's just a basic diffraction in it that gives a rainbow effect. You could get real holographic film made and have images in it with depth, appearing to pop out of the film.

I am kind of surprised they haven't shown any Halloween themed trucks yet. I've already thought of that if I had the truck now, I'd be printing jack-o-lantern or skull light covers at the very least.
