Lord knows they splashed out a bit of dosh from the stacks of parts on display. (or maybe I'm just easily impressed.)

well that was really exciting to watch. I wont be an earlier buyer, but once people ahve owned them for 6 months to shake out the early bugs Im in.

And I've been wondering how Slate will support the early adopters in this big experiment.

FWIW I read a business book about how Lexus handled its first-year recalls and how the way they treated early adopters was crucial to their eventual success.

Edit: Must've been Malcolm Gladwell's Tipping Point
