Here's another stat. Only 147 reservations in 9 days since pre-ordering opened up. That's like 16+ per pre-orders per day. At this rate Slate will never get into production. Hopefully there's a lot of ordering activity behind the scenes by customers who don't know about this site or didn't wish to populate this form. Hopefully.

I guarantee there are way more than that. I didn't know you could reserve one until something like 9 days after it was released (when I reserved it) and also only accidentally found this forum after doing Google searches for Slate. On top of that, I didn't notice the reservation tracker until yesterday and it actually takes a little effort to add yourself to it. With all that said, I would add 2 or 3 Zeros to the actual number.

I'm sure Slate will announce some numbers soon enough

This is not an official reservation list. It's crowdsourced from forum members who voluntarily input their reservation info.

At just $50 per reservation, Slate is guaranteed to have many times the reservations shown here. I agree with @JeffVA that the real number is easily 2 or 3 digits more. The Slate truck been written up huge in mainstream media and automotive outlets because it's such a unique new product at such a low price. Even my non-auto-enthusiast friend randomly asked if I had heard of it yesterday.
