I don’t really expect to see a firm price until they offer conversion to orders.
any significant price increase to blank Slate will be poorly received. Very good chance they’d increase accessories as those are even less known at this point.
I’m really interested in the topper in some form, but if too expensive I’ll still get blank Slate and wait for 3rd party options.

The Slate will start shipping after other 2027 models, so waiting until the competition's pricing is available would make sense.

You can be first (Lightning) cancelled, and Last (Cybertruck) and supposed to sell up to 250k a year, back order of 2 million. And still not sell over 75k total in three years. FAIL !!

Think Slate and Scout are testing the waters, maybe will never happen as many have tried to get started and failed, (CANOO, Lordstown, Atlas).

Hope for success, still mad that my Amazon subscription went from $99 to $120 a month.

Not willing to pay $49,998 for a Slate but time will tell in what they “believe” their product is worth?!

A quick video on 12 good EV ideas that failed.

Starting a new EV company is hard! I hope they make it work. Go Slate!

Go or no? It’s still very questionable, especially with the slow up-ramp of accessory availability. One gets the feeling the addition of a trailer hitch has become an engineering albatross.

The estimated cost has already jumped from $20 to 25,000, and who will argue it won’t hit $30,000 plus? All the while imports of $10,000 pickups are on the rumor mill.

It’s a wait-and-see game at this point, and a leap of faith for the wantonly.

I’d like to see it all come together in high fashion; but who can really say?

Really, what is your source? Not aware of such engineering issues made public.
price has NEVER been $20. You may have read under $20k with EV tax incentive.
