where! and HOW!
To get to the hotspots, first click on the little camera icon in the lower left corner while in the configurator. This will open a white window on the right. click the 3d mode slider and wait. When 3d mode finally activates, another slider will appear that says animation hotspots.

There are two gloveboxes in the blank Slate...

I'm going to mount a marine stereo in the middle one.
I like that so many people here looked at the giant gaping space in the dash and then complained that a DIN stereo won't fit. Looks like you could mount about 8 single-DINs in there.

A decent audio system add to the Slate will be easy. I think Slate said they will have a 1-DIN and 2-DIN mount and speaker pod mounts that fit in the dash cavern. They need to rethink the 12V constant supply IMO.

My plan is to go retro look with a 2-stem head unit with an amp and 6-1/2's in the doors. I'll probably have to fab my own head unit mount. I mean, you gotta match the manual windows, right?

I'm one of the complainers! However, I won't need DIN for this...

I'll cut a hole in the middle door and mount it there. The front plate extends beyond the radio chassis so cutout gaps will be covered.

Wired remote goes outside near the liftgate.

Shallow-depth speakers go in the doors - after I sand and repaint the grilles.

Maybe I should go with 6x9's in the door. Real old-school. :CWL:

If the dash opening is at least 6 inches wide, mine is getting a row of 6x9s, haha.

Looks pretty slick - browsing around it looks like there has been more development in the marine stereo world than the DIN stereo world. Makes some sense - DIN holes have been uncommon in cars for a while now, but people still need stereos for their boats.

Lots of interesting options that mount in a 3.5" gauge hole.

That's something I mentioned, someone could mount whatever combo of single and double DINs in there, put everything from 8-track, cassette, CD changer, SW, CB, etc all lined up, looking like an airplane cockpit with buttons knobs and dials all the way across.
