This article says Slate will provide training to RepairPal shops.

These shops will be ‘trained on Slate procedures for accessory installation’, and will be ready to ‘provide service and repairs on Slate trucks’.

Supercar Blondie: Jeff Bezos-backed Slate will teach your local repair shop how to service its $20,000 EV pickup truck so it can be fixed anywhere
Even if I don’t get a Slate, I’d like to see if Slate would offer a way to be a certified tech.
Maybe have different tier support certs for folks to help others in remote locations and have mobile support specialists as job opportunities.

Yea, I could see training on how to effectively wrap a Slate while I am in Warsaw picking my truck.

I wonder who is paying for the training.

My guess would be the repair shop wanting the opportunity to do this work.
Then the correct headline would be "Slate Auto will offer training to Independent RepairPal Shops"

The article sorta implies Jeff Bezos' Slate Auto is going to provide the training for free. Because Jeff is so nice and all. ;)

Will these shops be distribution points?
Will there be introductory price incentives to get mods done at time of delivery?
What has been bugging me;
What becomes of the original tires, bumpers, etc. if we choose those options? On our own to sell them? Exchange program?

Still a year out on that stuff actually happening, supposed to find out more early 2026. No one is going to have an answer on any of that before then.
