You're right. I feel like at one time it was just embossed on there as well, no color change or anything. Also, I remember in the first Slate videos on YouTube it didn't say "Slate" at the back lol. Always bothered me a bit because it was a missing opportunity for product awareness, I feel better now that it's there. Lol
We couldn't be further apart on this opinion. 😂I'm glad they fixed it but I wish it was bigger, Toyota got it right with the Hilux, it need to say "I'm here, I'm cool and this is my name".
Agreed! I think it needs to be bigger though:Also, I remember in the first Slate videos on YouTube it didn't say "Slate" at the back lol. Always bothered me a bit because it was a missing opportunity for product awareness, I feel better now that it's there. Lol
If that is just vinyl I'm removing it...
Oralite 5600 Black reflective film could be incredible, I've added a swatch to my rvinyl sample cart to see if it's the real deal.Yes! I am familiar with the Slate trucks. I'm excited for a company to do something different with trucks other than just making them bigger every generation. They have a lot of cool truck features.
This design is about 5.5 inches tall at 42 inches wide. Would need to be 46.5" wide in order to be 6 inches tall. We can skew it to exactly 42x6" but it will stretch the look slightly.
Our reflective material is Oralite 5600 (made by Oracal). It will stick to about anything and won't shrink over time (it's engineering grade). I'll be adding some Slate logos to the site either today or tomorrow.
Big names and emblems splashed around a truck are ugly and gaudy. I would rather have no name and people scratch their heads or have to ask you what it is. Charging at Tesla Superchargers I bet will be a crowd attraction anyway for a whileYeah, I think I remember that too. I'm glad they fixed it but I wish it was bigger, Toyota got it right with the Hilux, it need to say "I'm here, I'm cool and this is my name".
