Remember Pee-Wee's Big Adventure?

He's even wearing a Slate Gray suit

...and I haul pillows like you wouldn't believe. People come from all around and take pictures, even at ground level as if I didn't look big, bad & cool enough.

I understand why they've done that - makes it simple to ensure compliance whether on the pickup, pickup with headache rack/ladder racks, fastback, open air, or SUV body kits - but given the increasing height of vehicles Slate will share the road with, I'd love to add a high-mount third (fourth) brake light to mine.

Some ditch lights/bed lights wouldn't be amiss either, and I've always liked the look of the tailgate light bars. Maybe a tailgate light bar routed across the ladder rack?

More light is better, as long as it doesn't impair the vision of drivers around me!
People will just dark tint them anyway so you can’t see them in bright sunlight. Dumbest trend out there.

I like the de-badged look, and dislike it when manufacturers make it difficult to do that. Hopefully the tailgate will be as easy to modify as the body panels, letting everyone have it the way they like it.

Mis-badging is slightly amusing to me but I don't think I'd do it with my Slate. I have no need for anyone to think that my Slate is a Ford, or RAM, or whatever.

Where are the reverse lights? I dont think anywhere it would legal to have those amber in color...

I really think the 3rd light on the tailgate makes it look rushed. I really liked the light in the back window. I hope they have a good reason...

Yeah. I thought about the reverse lights too... I much prefer the back glass brake light. If they have both like this shows and others I have seen, I might get rid of the one on the tailgate.

Does it look different in the website? Probably the website render is closer to the final design. I see them removing the break light from the back window because would make manufacturing and user customization (suv conversion and such) easier.

The ones in this photo look amber colored though. I think that's the one they were referring to.
