My first (in 1974) was a '69 Chevy Chevelle Malibu. A 2 door with the vinyl hard top. $340.
The automatic shifter knob was missing, so I customized it with a wooden one. And added an 8-track player!

First new car was '80 Toyota Celica lift back. 5 speed manual. I had mostly driven manual trucks and older cars, that were clunky shifters. Two minutes on a test drive with the Celica and it was so sweet. $7500.

Funny thing I’ve still never had a car or truck in my name only a scooter from 1985 so the slate will be the first automobile I have bought and registered in my name

I had a white 1994 Chevy Cavalier RS two door that me and the brother jointly owned, that we bought in 1997.

84 Mazda, exactly like the one in the brochure, was my first brand new vehicle

I owned this exact truck also. Wasn't my first but was much beloved. Thinking of going with 17" white spoked wheels and raised white letter tires on my slate.

I love white wheels on pickups, I am thinking if I get the base Slate I'll probably paint the steelies white once it's paid off. Regen braking means a lot less brake dust!

The Slate wheels look rather solid maybe completely solid. Great for keeping dust off the outside.
