From the pictures of interior accessories, it appears the passenger will be 9 o’clock and the driver 3 o’clock. IOW, forward toward the dash.
I’m thinking those are good positions. Might even want 1-2 o’clock on driver side so I can do a light press clockwise when I’m about ready to leave to check window is fully closed.
This is bringing back the memories of my ‘92 Nissan, where the manual windows would slightly inch down as you drove and I would always need to double check before you left they were FULLY closed. Will bring back that muscle memory now. 😂

I just looked at the interior ~360° view of my build and both cranks are facing forward. 9 and 3

Of course I corrected this and I think I ended up with the driver’s door at the 3 o’clock position and the passenger at the 9 o’clock position because it kept the crank from touching the knees.
This is how my Geo and LTD were. My driver's side crank is currently in the wrong spot from me just slapping it on post-window work, but this thread is a good reminder to fix that.

My 2004 Tacoma has the window cranks at the 1 o'clock on the drivers side and 11 o'clock on the passenger side. They have never been off, I bought it new.

...I saw in a video that it takes 6 full rotations ....
As long as its not 5 ¾ or 6 ¼ I'll be fine , otherwise I'm printing some different gears :CWL:

My expectation is that the crank should “park” in an ergonomically comfortable position (eg. 5 o’clock) so an outstretched arm can easily make a quick adjustment to open the window, say at an ATM or drive through. Knowing Slate's engineering team, I bet that’s the design decision.
