Evtruth said the doors have a key hole too. So I guess the question is whether the ignition is FOB only meaning we have to carry both.Good eye! The traditional key at last explained. Doors too?

My '16 CRV has a traditional key hole in the driver's door. I've never used it, not even once. Its presence on the Slate is probably just a backup in case the fob battery dies.Evtruth said the doors have a key hole too. FINALLY an EV that gives you an easily accessible way to get back into it / get things left inside it if the battery dies! Sick of seeing stories about people's batteries going and having to smash windows / have roadside send a jump box to get at babies left inside or something. My '16 CRV has a traditional key hole in the driver's door. The 12v on the wife's 21 died and the trickle charger attached to the "access" wires was not strong enough to pop the Frunk. Had to roll the Harley over and jump the MachE funk with its battery. Best part is I decided to take the opportunity to clean the jets on the Harley carb and put a brush bristle thru the idle jet. Took my daughter on her first motorcycle ride. So in a way the 12V thing can be good.FINALLY an EV that gives you an easily accessible way to get back into it / get things left inside it if the battery dies! My old VW Alltrack and my current BMW R1200RS have similar fobs. The moto key locks/unlocks the saddle bags, trunk, under seat storage, and the sometimes useful Garmin-based Navigator device. Honestly I wish I just had a Quadlock mount for my phone…it would be way more useful. My wife's Hyundai fob just needs to be in your pocket to open and start car, but also has a key built into the fob that pops out with the press of a small button. That way you don't have to worry about where to keep the key. Maybe Slate is considering something similar?
a couple years ago( more like 3 )NAPA delivered parts to a shop I was working at with a Maverick XL Hybrid , the driver took parts in and then had the nerve to think he was just leaving before I did a thorough check , in over & underAt this point I'm hoping that they are still cross-comparing different drop-in motors and the final decision comes down to what motor mounts they need to start manufacturing. But it does concern me they don't have one finalized yet as well.
I'll be the first person kicked out of a Slate event for crawling under the truck when they aren't looking and see for myself!
