Also known as the 3rd brake light. In all current Slate media the CHMSL is not shown on preproduction models. This is required by NHTSA to prevent rear end collisions since 1986. On the base truck it should be over the rear glass on the cab, if the SUV kit is ordered then it will need to be moved to rear glass window. From what is shown below the CHMSL is obviously missing.

It's behind the rear glass. When converted to the squareback, the same glass panel is reused and moved to the tailgate. I'm not exactly sure about the fastback top, but assume it's the same.
Yes clearly visible - seems OP was trying to complain about Slate missing something. Slate missed nothing.

This makes me wonder: will the rear window also be a lift gate on the pick-up truck configuration? Other questions about this design as well. For example, could the pick-up cab be configured as an open back?

Removable rear window would be great, however that would remove the brake light, so...

Since the rear window is on hinges, I wonder if it could be possible to open it slightly, pop-out style, to let some air in.

In the hands-on video that Car and Driver did, the back glass had been removed entirely. Seems like a workable configuration:

I'm hoping that there's a version of the back glass with a slider window in it.
