SUV vs Cargo

So I emailed:
“I already know I could get the square SUV option and remove the seat, but my need is a covered area for my dogs, not people. Do not need the rollbar or airbags. Might it be possible to order the Cargo kit but with the windowed sides and still have the lower panel behind seat in place?”

While we haven't officially released a covered shell version of the (consumer) truck on the website, we've been receiving a lot of great feedback from folks who would prefer that configuration-- specifically, just like you, to keep their pets covered. made the mistake with a previous Leer top of getting the liner, all black, even with the windowed sides it was cavelike dark.

I wonder if they are going to offer different variations for consumers and for fleet sales? I can see this used as a van for deliveries of items to businesses. A florist could use this and would not need the roll cage but would want the top. I want the slant back top, but don't want the back seat. I guess we have 18 months to ask questions. 😁

hehe yah I wonder if the fleet will get a no window shell version since if you look at a lot of fleet vans they don’t have windows in the back most of the time

The no window version is depicted on Slate website. Hence my query.
what would fleet commercial variations be? Wouldn’t the slant back sacrifice useable cargo area?

From some of the pictures I've seen of the interior, it seems that the SUV shell has pivoting pieces that use designated points on the roll cage to hold them in place, so unless they change that design, it may require the roll cage to hold those pieces in place. Maybe they'll come up with another option and I would guess there will be some aftermarket shells.

interesting and yah I believe the video from “out of spec reviews” shows that that is how the shell attaches and removes and someone should make a shell business we it’s wacky fun shells we gonna have the slate pope mobile then. Tbh it would be neet to see what the after market comes up with

They wouldn't want a back seat. I just wondered if the roll bar was just for rear passenger protection, or if it is required to hold the top shell. I have never seen a pickup shell that requires a roll bar to support it. The roll bar would take up a lot of space.
